The Mumbai Coastal Road Project

The Mumbai Coastal Road Project, initiated by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) in October 2018, aimed to build an 8-lane, 29.2 km long freeway along Mumbai’s western coastline, connecting Marine Lines to Kandivali. The estimated cost of the project, considering the delays due to environment clearance issues and COVID-19 crisis is ₹14,000 crore ($2.1 billion).
